The Anna Phenomenon

It takes an audacious step , a strong idea and a person with a vision to surpass a chaotic crisis. Recapitulate  the noble Mahatma Gandhi, who drove the Britishers away with his trivial rubrics of non-violence. It's  dejavu all over again with the uprising of the modern Mahatma-  Anna Hazare, a man who despite his senile existence has emerged to be the voice of the nation fighting the vortex of corruption  that's been pestering our "never to change notion of developing nation" . The very definition of democracy that says, "for the people,by the people and of the people" has been morphed to " for the elite, to the elite and by the elite" . Corruption is a blot on the nation's pride! The Government that should be embracing its progress and good work is out there proving itself "schadenfreude" and yet, expecting the common man to somnambulate through its malign deeds .This is when Anna stepped forward into action against this poignant scenario, raising his voice and pressing the need for the Jan Lokpal bill, that would be a strong  medicine to treat this deadly virus of corruption.Thousands of people taking to the streets to support Anna and his noble struggle, is a sight of pleasure and pride depicting the fact that our people are not passive anymore. "The country did not get actual freedom even after 64 years of independence and the only change was that the whites have been replaced by the blacks", says Anna . It is high time the government wakes up to the truth and comes up with a wise consensus to forgo the unanticipated consequences.....
