FOUR YEARS FOR A LIFETIME...!

It's so weird, that sometimes the things and places you loathe the most, are the one's you tend to miss the most....As cliche as it sounds, there's always a hidden truth in it! I had never (even remotely) dreamed of  landing up in a hostel lets say never ever...but perhaps that's how the well known "fate" works! you are either pushed to do something you have not anticipated or bestowed with something you always wished you never had!!! :P   So,putting the point straight there i was ..in a hostel to pursue my graduation in a college that is a perfect carbon copy to a jail! (especially for G-I-R-L-S!!). No outings, no movies, no malls( oops...there was none around !),no parties, no ragging (oh yeah its an engineering college, if your already doubting it!), no birthday celebrations allowed( legally) and worst of all NO non-veg(my friends can actually tell how much i would pause at this juncture!).

For all those who are skeptical about the very existence of such a college let me assure you guys, there is world beyond your imagination! So, the story begins here...i had 4 years of torture to bear and gallons of "HEAT" to take( this place being the official STOVE of India!) hundreds of people to meet and hundred and odd mindsets to deal with (if you know what i mean :P) . I entered my room and was more than glad to meet a girl i could associate with (who later became my best buddy for life) . She was the stupidest person i love to be with at all times no matter what! (Don't go to U.S please...)We were the two people whom the whole world would never doubt would get seperated. (no matter how silly and serious our fights were)I met a girl who was from North India (officially my room mate) and later a friend whom i would always remember! She was different and to her you and I were different :P The masti, crazy acts and never ending chats in the room are the best memories!

But that was not all...i later met a bunch of special people who were the biggest idiots just like me :P  The girl who came up to me first asking me to teach her a subject i knew no smell and taste of! She was someone i thought i would hate for a lifetime but she became the one i would not dare leave! Our Milk Shake "brum-brum" parties and never fulfilling "This-is-the-last-time" promises are just the best! Then there's the "girl-with-the-acid-bottle" ( she would kill me for this :P) who can just win anything and everything with just one "Smile" . It was like there's nothing in the world that could stop her from smiling! Then there was the "girl-with-the-perfect-figure" who always went by the rules! (lets just say sometimes ) One would never forget her "child-talk" ( something we had always made fun of :P) The "TTD-girl" was a perky little one with amazing hair and lots of stories...(the politics lover! and we share something in common too :P)

The "chary-girl" was the fun loving yet bound to ECE torture person who loveeeeeeeed to EAT and SING ! (she had the ability to put any melodious song to death :P) Then, there was the "girl-in-silence" who mostly kept to herself but when in action got us down to our knees :P (the day when the three of got caught and deliberately pulled in the spectator :P). We had the "short-cute-teacher" who made our life a lot easy during exams (atleast to an extent) .How could we imagine a world without  her? She was the sweetest person ever!

Then there was a guy, the only friend (in guys) i ever had...someone who always loved pulling my leg, albeit someone who was always a friend in need! He is one talented coder i should say! The "girl from the corner room" was a sweet and short friend who had loads of stories to tell. she was sharing and well mannered and not to forget a very sweet friend! Then comes the "fairest-girl-in-the-lot" the girl who could have you rolling on the floor with her jokes and satire. A good friend again!

The "travel-mate-girl" , was a fun loving and awesomely confused(now i say awesome here) and extremely talkative girl in who's company you would just not notice all night pass away! Lots of people lots of memories...the girly talks(especially a night before the exams :P), the freakishly awesome "made-up-kitchen-food",  hangouts in the canteen and ditch, the craving for attendance, petty fights and lovely patch-ups , sneak outs to the punjabi dabha, the little temple and the funny professors, the birthday parties, the secret talk , playfulness and tonnes and tonnes of stupidity! four years meant a life time!!!!!!
THANK YOU GUYS !! IT WAS AN AWESOME PACKAGE OF MEMORIES !!! WE MADE IT!!!! LOVE U ALL AND MISS U LOADS !!!!! :)

P.S: This is the first post i did not attach pictures to, though i love colors because my friends have added up all the hues needed! cheers guys!!!!

### THE CURRENCY CAVES ###

Have you been to a Bank( i mean the money spot) lately? What a MODUS VIVENDI!!!! Don't you think?
If u don't exactly know what a modus vivendi is, my article will serve as an apt explanation...........
A place with an unstoppable influx and exodus of people and money seems like the busiest place. However, the employees at our service don't quite seem the "people at our service". As flushed out as their good mood could get as time passes by, the very reflection of this phenomenon on us is never missed!

The Manager is a silent cozy man/woman seated in his "disturb-me-as-little-as-possible" cabin at a corner trying to figure out head and tail of the junk on his table! The staff, the people with their own set of individual and variable moods are the ones who worry me at times. I cant quite say if it's the people (who deposit and withdraw the Vitamin M) or the environment around them, but work seems their worst nightmare!! (atleast in most of the banks i have been to ) There's a grumpy person who has an issue with everything. On the flip side, there's also a sober person to whom all customers are apparently routed as he is the one in the good mood for the day or rather to say for the hour :p

How could someone not mention the oomph of the place....the attender(or peon) ,his name being the MANTRA of the place, people keep chanting his name over and over to get things done be it big or small ! Like it is said " The person with the lowest post is the person of utmost importance! " As agile as the man is , moves around chair to chair meeting the needs of the staff by fetching files or papers or stamps or "stress relieving  tea" or even sometimes a smile. He is more or less as i perceive, the "mood enhancing " perky  man of the place!
Right in a corner seated behind a "prison looking petit cabin" is the cashier with all the cash! To meet him you imperatively need a token that looks like currency from the past...the ones owned by the kings in the good old days! and lots of patience. He is perhaps the only person who keeps mum most of the time. During their leisure, the staff has issues from all around the globe to talk about ...sometimes u might also land up being the one who with or without interest gets to be part of it when the guy at your service finds it more important than u. Patience is something that always comes in handy while at a bank. So, have you updated your patience levels recently?????

A Peril Truth...

For a world that has always been aware and perplexed by the grim truth, which remained unveiled thus far, there came one great man who girded up his loins to break the silence and bring out the secrets into the lime light! He showed it to the world what it deserved to see. This  man  is now called a "Narcissist", a"Megalomaniac" and an "Anarchist".I firmly believe the world has to abandon these terms and  begin using the positive content of the Lexicon to refer to him.

He dragged to light the facts about what the Super Powers are in for, how dexterously they have been playing their cards against each other and against other vulnerable countries as well, how dis-functional the administration of some stuck up countries is, and the truth that despite their careless and dominating attitude, how they still kept pointing fingers at others...

It is all out there, a website that's chasing the "TRUTH", has so far left many major countries in panic! The man had done all it takes to prove to the world that nothing is impossible. Then why blame him? Y call him a Narcissist? Y call him a criminal?

He is now projected as an Anti-hero ! He is being cursed and opposed, with various governments pulling false drapes onto him in order to cover up for their own misdeeds.Ever since the inception of  Wikileaks, a new revolution has virtually begun taking people at the helm on a rol-a-coaster ride!

For all those who threaten his presence to cover up for their own insecurity, the man and his unstoppable attitude has just one answer- " I have the courage and ability to get things done! U (the authorities) may try to pull me down ..albeit , i shall never give up ! because......."I am JULIAN ASSANGE "and you are not! ".

The Summer Train...

Have u passed a patience check lately? Just in case your answer is a NO, its time you travel by a Train (not to mention the magestic Indian Railways!). Perhaps, this article would never bother you if you are the "all-time -AC- coach" folk.

I figured i'll share one of the most obnoxious journey's i have ever been a part of.This nightmarish experience confronted me, when i happened to take a train (the sleeper coach)from Chennai. I hope i can go past the part where i explain how disastrously hot Chennai is, especially in summer! Seated amidst umpteen people, who seem perky enough to form the "bubble bonds" ( here i try to refer to the very open yet ,"do i really know u?" conversations that begin and end with the journey!) and the vendors who operate at their peak decibles! As hot as it turned out to be, i raised my head to see the fans that remind me of late Sir Dalhousie's time,i can't help but crosscheck "Are they working or have they gone kaput!?" Trust me, they barely serve any purpose especially when u need them the most!

Kids have always been the cutest things on earth to me...their innocence
and "full of questions" talk is a feel good encounter. Albeit, the hot sun had cast a filthy spell on them as well. I could notice the pleasant kids transforming into notorious "wanna yell ,fight and never stop"  electrons!   Things were getting crazier by and by...and with the heat ruling at the helm, i had the hardest time ever! So,i made up my mind to find some peace myself! That's when i decided i was gonna sleep! Have you ever experienced the "God!!!  i need to sleep but how on earth do u expect me to do that now!"phenomenon? I have been part and parcel of this very experiment and successfully proved positive !

As hapless as  i was, i sat upright and looked around to see the scenario fully fitted with all the worst elements ever possible. That's when criticism had got the better of me...i could not help but curse the people-in-charge(The Railway Authorities). I wondered , "Did they ever know things were this pathetic and peace-pricking? if no, then what do they know? and if yes, then is'nt it high time they wake up and get things fixed!?" The key word is "Transformation" . Any way, all my curses would just go in vain!

I was saved to some extent by a book i had no intention of buying, but somehow managed to buy out of boredom on the platform . That book was a MAGIC BULLET. A deviation that helped me overcome the never ending troubled thoughts on ma mind and the optimum dehydration moving to its peaks . Somehow, i fell asleep and the sad saga had finally ended! That was when i promised maself i would never ever hurt myself this bad ever again!

P.S : The curtains thus fall with optimum hope that i will never have to come up with a PART-2 of this post ....

The Anna Phenomenon

It takes an audacious step , a strong idea and a person with a vision to surpass a chaotic crisis. Recapitulate  the noble Mahatma Gandhi, who drove the Britishers away with his trivial rubrics of non-violence. It's  dejavu all over again with the uprising of the modern Mahatma-  Anna Hazare, a man who despite his senile existence has emerged to be the voice of the nation fighting the vortex of corruption  that's been pestering our "never to change notion of developing nation" . The very definition of democracy that says, "for the people,by the people and of the people" has been morphed to " for the elite, to the elite and by the elite" . Corruption is a blot on the nation's pride! The Government that should be embracing its progress and good work is out there proving itself "schadenfreude" and yet, expecting the common man to somnambulate through its malign deeds .This is when Anna stepped forward into action against this poignant scenario, raising his voice and pressing the need for the Jan Lokpal bill, that would be a strong  medicine to treat this deadly virus of corruption.Thousands of people taking to the streets to support Anna and his noble struggle, is a sight of pleasure and pride depicting the fact that our people are not passive anymore. "The country did not get actual freedom even after 64 years of independence and the only change was that the whites have been replaced by the blacks", says Anna . It is high time the government wakes up to the truth and comes up with a wise consensus to forgo the unanticipated consequences.....

Pani Puri.

It is almost unbelievable that u have been a part of this colorful country for quite long and never heard of the bustling word "Pani Puri".Pulling down the list from kids to the younger fuel, the responsible citizens and never to forget the "full of wisdom" grands -the pani puri has always been an all time favorite for people of all ages and genres . It a realistic example to the eyebrow raising fact that "Big things come in petit packets".These spicy little delicious mouth watering things can drag you along and make you never wanna leave.Around the corner of the road one can see a "chat bhandar" standing upright like a soldier all set to serve its customers, the person at our service no matter who or what his name could be, being referred to as "bhayya"<brother> is perhaps the one man with the largest count of relatives on this earth!A place to treat your friends,or an adda ,your mini hungry spot or call it whatever! the chat bhandar is an "ever perky" hotspot that could make better  profits than many other "looks cool yet all you do is window shopping" malls!Chat Bandars are definitely on the list of those little happy indian places i would brag about !

TALES FROM THE AIRPORT.....

An Airport has always been a place of fascination to me...primarily because of the myriad of people .."wow now that's colorful", is what i say to myself. The exodus and influx of the massive "hagrid-looking" airplanes is an eye witness of how badly man wanted to fly! The chirping well dressed air hostesses in their best intact outfits look akin colorful and carefree butterflies .Lets ignore the fact that i dreamed being one of them when i grow old (which as a matter of fact is way behind the horizon of reality). The happy greetings of people ,the whole hearted hugs and the "never wanna say goodbye" look in their eyes is worth a zillion . It would take ten other "Octopus Paul's " to predict the ambit of their cheerfulness! The airport to me is a perky place bustling with people of all shapes, sizes, colors and emotions . I grab a couple of cookies from my favorite store "Cookie Man" and get myself comfortable at one corner where i can get an enthralling view of this "never to go low" place. What more could i ask for? I totally love it! and then, comes the announcement , and i have to leave. Dragging myself from the cozy entertaining spot i bid goodbye to one of my favorite places .Well, the point is, every place has a plethora of stories to tell..we are sometimes so busy looking at the world through our own glasses, that we do not pay heed to its real form! all you need to do is let go and open up!

le premier..

Everyone (lets say almost) believes in the so called "first impression " phenomenon. Now, this being my first post, i have this  thought of making it very special. So, i kept tossing over multiple issues that i could perhaps write about. and that was when i was reminded why i wanted to blog in the first place! yeah!..SNAP! here comes the answer...to know about this,u have gotto know about the "mysterious me" . i am precisely an expressive person who lives in the arena of thoughts...thoughts of all types and colors jiving all around  .. imagination is my source of fun! every little thing that comes my way finds an expression in my mind<the vivid pool of thoughts>. so, this is a way i figured would spur me share my petty stories .keeping it short for now , that's all i have to say defending my urge to attempt blogging. B) catch you later for more....
